- Understand the concepts behind distributed computing — data fragmentation, replication, and the CAP theorem
- Learn the MapReduce programming model: split, map, shuffle, and reduce phases with example workflows
- Study HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) architecture — NameNode, DataNode, blocks, and fault tolerance
- Understand YARN resource management — ResourceManager, NodeManager, ApplicationMaster, and container model
- Learn Zookeeper coordination service — distributed consensus, leader election, and configuration management
- Understand Alibaba Cloud E-MapReduce architecture — clusters, nodes, HDFS configuration, and scaling
- Deploy Hadoop, Spark, and Hive clusters using EMR console and CLI
- Execute MapReduce jobs and Spark applications on EMR clusters for large-scale data processing
- Configure Kafka message queues on EMR for real-time streaming data ingestion pipelines
- Monitor EMR cluster health, logs, and resource usage using CloudMonitor and EMR job history
- Understand MaxCompute architecture — projects, tables, partitions, resources, and functions
- Write and optimise ODPS SQL for batch processing of petabyte-scale datasets on MaxCompute
- Use odpscmd (MaxCompute CLI) and Java SDK for programmatic data operations and bulk loading
- Develop User-Defined Functions (UDF) and User-Defined Aggregation Functions (UDAF) in Java
- Use Tunnel SDK for high-throughput bulk data upload and download operations with MaxCompute
- Use DataWorks DataStudio IDE for visual SQL development and data workflow design
- Create and schedule data synchronisation tasks using DataWorks Data Integration for batch and real-time sync
- Build multi-node task dependency graphs and set scheduling policies in DataWorks Task Scheduler
- Use DataWorks Operation Centre to monitor, rerun, and troubleshoot scheduled task workflows
- Implement data quality rules and DataWorks data governance policies for enterprise data lakes
- Connect Quick BI to MaxCompute, OSS, and RDS data sources for interactive analysis
- Create calculated fields, filters, and drill-down dimensions for self-service business intelligence
- Build dashboards with line charts, bar charts, maps, funnels, and pivot tables in Quick BI
- Share and publish Quick BI dashboards to internal teams and embed reports in external portals
- Use DataV for real-time large-screen data visualisation — connecting to live MaxCompute and RDS data sources
