›File Level Retention (FLR) — enable FLR on file system; minimum, maximum, and default retention periods; auto-lock mode vs. compliance mode; FLR event log access
›Data Reduction — enable inline deduplication and compression for dynamic pools; view data reduction ratio and space savings; understand data reduction impact on write performance
›FAST VP — automated storage tiering for traditional pools; promotion/demotion schedules; monitoring tier distribution; initial tier allocation policy; manual relocation
›Thin provisioning and space reclamation — thin LUN subscription ratios; monitor over-subscription; space reclamation with Unisphere; zero-page reclamation for VMware vSphere

Data Protection and Mobility

›Snapshot schedules — create daily/weekly/monthly snapshot schedules; retention policy for automatic deletion; monitor snapshot counts and capacity usage
›Synchronous replication — Unity Metro sync replication; configure replication session between two Unity systems; RPO = 0; failover and failback procedures for sync replication
›Asynchronous replication — configure async replication session; RPO target (minimum 5 minutes); bandwidth throttling; pause/resume replication; modify replication interval
›Replication management — monitor replication session health in Unisphere; alert on replication lag; scheduled/unscheduled sync; reverse replication after site recovery
