VPLEX Storage Provisioning

›Day-to-day provisioning tasks: add new extents from new array LUNs presented to back-end; create new local or distributed devices; create virtual volumes and add to storage views
›Storage view management — create new storage view for a new host (initiator group + target port group + virtual volumes); add or remove virtual volumes from existing storage views; modify initiator lists
›Troubleshoot provisioning issues — host cannot discover virtual volume (storage view check, FC zoning verification, host rescan); distributed device shows degraded (check both site extents, cross-connect state)
›Volume expansion — extend underlying array LUN, claim new extent, grow local device, resize virtual volume; verify host-level resize with OS tools

Volume Management and Data Protection

›VPLEX Mobility operations — initiate LiveMigration job to move virtual volume data from one back-end array to another without host impact; monitor migration job progress; respond to migration failure
›Consistency group (CG) administration — create CG and add related virtual volumes; verify CG health; CG management for RecoverPoint integration; remove volumes from CG and implications
