The basic workflow of a Struts application

• Receiving an HTTP request.
• The controller (ActionServlet) handling the request.
• The controller invoking the appropriate action class.
• The action class processing the request and interacting with the model (data).
• The action class returning a result, which determines the view to be rendered.
• The view (JSP page) displaying the response to the user.
